Setup & Use
The camera has outstanding performance features – like night vision. Hear a bump in the night? Pick up your smartphone and find out what’s happening downstairs! Intruders won’t even know you’ve caught them live, on video.
Online and Interactive
Our user-friendly web portal is your gateway to interactive video monitoring. The live feed comes to your computer, mobile phone, PDA or tablet, for monitoring anytime, anywhere. Your video footage is completely confidential. The feed does not transmit to the FrontPoint Monitoring Center. You control all access, via your MyFrontPoint.com account.
All video is in "living color." You have multiple viewing options, including HD resolutions up to 1280x800. Please note that since this video transmits over the Internet, your personal picture quality will depend on your available bandwidth and viewing device.
In addition to live streaming, the camera also generates a video clip when it detects motion. You'll receive notification via text or email. You can view the clips immediately to confirm that all is secure, or the portal will store them for you. We suggest selecting a lower resolution for archiving video clips. Video files contain a lot of data and high resolution clips could exceed your storage limits. (You have 50 MB of storage space available at any time, and up to 500 MB of monthly upload capability.)
Setup and Wireless Connection
Your security camera is lightweight and easy to set up.
Set up in 3 easy steps:
Prep
Connect
Position
The first step to setting up your Wireless Indoor Camera is to attach the antenna, by simply screwing it on. Then you connect the power adaptor and plug it in. Choose an outlet that isn't controlled by a switch, so you don’t accidentally turn it off. We provide a long cord, for extra placement flexibility. The online connection is wireless, with great range.
Next, hook up the camera to your wireless router, using your personal account on our online portal. On-screen portal instructions will guide you through the easy push-button configuration. There's nothing tricky. No DVR or advanced network configuration. Specific, step-by-step instructions also arrive with the camera.
With its flexible design and mounting options, you can position the camera wherever it's convenient. Place it on any handy shelf, or mount it to a wall or ceiling. The swivel bracket lets you set the angle for the best view. For example, you may want it pointing toward the front door, the main part of the house, or any area you’d like to safeguard. You can also point it out a window, to capture activity in the driveway or backyard.
Mounting is optional and requires a screwdriver or drill. Ever hang a heavy picture on a wall? Then you have all the technical know-how you need. Mounting accessories are included in the box. If you choose to place the camera on a shelf, no tools needed!
